Occurrence Summary
Date Entered:
2009-12-16
Narrative:
Fort McMurray Tower observed a bright object northwest of the airport at 1450z (0750 local time) on December 15 and the object moved in a southerly direction initially then continued eastbound until it disappeared into the sunrise. Its altitude was unknown but was well above the horizon. The object moved from northwest to southeast and was in a straight line, with no erratic movements. The object was moving very fast and appeared too fast to be any commercial aircraft and was one solid bright light. JZA 334 was delayed on departure for about 4 minutes until the object was well east of the aircraft's departure path.
Please note that for the most part, CADORS reports contain preliminary, unconfirmed data which can be subject to change.
