This Equivalency Certificate authorizes First Base Inc., to handle, offer for transport and transport, by road or railway vehicle, or by ship on a domestic voyage, dangerous goods that are UN1030, 1,1 DIFLUOROETHANE, Class 2.1, in a manner that does not comply with the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, if:

(a) the dangerous goods are handled, offered for transport and transported as limited quantities in accordance with the requirements of section 1.17 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations;

(b) in addition to the requirements referred to in condition (a) of this certificate, the dangerous goods are contained in a means of containment that is in compliance with the requirements of section 5.11 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations and the capacity of each the means of containment is less than or equal to 0.5 L;

(c) the certificate holder ensures that the personnel handling, offering for transport or transporting the dangerous goods is trained in regards to the conditions of this Equivalency Certificate;

(d) the Equivalency Certificate number "SU 9700" is visibly and legibly marked on the outer means of containment.

Note: The issuance of this Equivalency Certificate in no way reduces the certificate holder's responsibility to comply with any other requirements of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Air, the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, and the Canadian Aviation Regulationsnot specifically addressed in this certificate.

Explanatory Note
