This Equivalency Certificate authorizes Londero Sports Inc., to handle, offer for transport or transport, and authorizes any person to handle or transport by road or railway vehicle, or by ship on a domestic voyage, dangerous goods that are UN0161, Powder, smokeless, Class 1.3C, Packing Group II, or UN0499, Propellant Solid, Class 1.3C, Packing Group II, under an alternate shipping name that is listed in Column 2 of Schedule 1 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, if:

(a) where applicable, under the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, the following information is used:

(i) the product identification number "UN3178",

(ii) the shipping name "Flammable Solid, inorganic, N.O.S.

(Small Arms Propellant)",

(iii) the classification "4.1",

(iv) the packing group number "II";

(b) the maximum net quantity of smokeless powder per inner packaging does not exceed 4 kg;

(c) the quantities of the smokeless powder do not exceed 50 kg net explosives quantity per vehicle;

(d) the inner packagings are so arranged and protected so as to prevent the simultaneous ignition of the contents of the outer packaging;

(e) the complete package is classified in accordance with the Explosives Act and Regulations;

(f) the applicable requirements of Standard CGSB 43.151-2012, "Packaging, handling, offering for transport and transport of Explosives (Class 1)", October 2012, are complied with;

(g) the certificate holder ensures that the personnel handling, offering for transport or transporting the dangerous goods is trained in regards to the conditions of this Equivalency Certificate;

(h) the shipping document that accompanies the dangerous goods includes the following information legibly and indelibly marked:

(i) "Equivalency Certificate No. SU 8958 (Ren. 5)",

(ii) "Maximum 50 kg quantity per road vehicle or combination of road vehicle and trailer",

(iii) "Product subject to the Explosives Act and requires an Importation Permit".

Note: The issuance of this Equivalency Certificate in no way reduces the certificate holder's responsibility to comply with any other requirements of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Air, the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, and the Canadian Aviation Regulationsnot specifically addressed in this certificate.

Explanatory Note

This Equivalency Certificate allows the applicant to handle, offer for transport or transport smokeless powder, as a flammable solid in quantities up to 50 kg. The inner packaging is arranged and protected to prevent simultaneous ignition of the total contents and as a result, the packaging of the product is such that any possible hazard is minimized.
