This Equivalency Certificate authorizes Perimeter Aviation LP, to handle, offer for transport or transport, and authorizes any person to handle or transport on behalf of the certificate holder, by passenger aircraft, dangerous goods that are UN1001, ACETYLENE, DISSOLVED, Class 2.1, in a manner that does not comply with subsection 12.1(2) of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, under the following conditions:

(a) the dangerous goods are handled, offered for transport or transported in compliance with paragraph 12.1(2)(a) to 12.1(2)(j) of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations and with the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air except for columns 10 and 11 of Table 3-1, Chapter 2 of Part 3;

(b) when the person offering the dangerous goods for transport is not the air carrier, that person notifies the air carrier, before the flight, of the class and quantity of the dangerous goods;

(c) the dangerous goods are in a means of containment that is in compliance with Part 5 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations;

(d) the maximum net quantity of dangerous goods per means of containment does not exceed 5 kg;

(e) the means of containment is secured in an upright position;

(f) in addition to the requirements of Part 6 (Training) of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, the certificate holder ensures that the personnel handling, offering for transport or transporting the dangerous goods is trained in regards to the conditions of this Equivalency Certificate;

(g) a paper or electronic copy of this Equivalency Certificate accompanies the dangerous goods; and

(h) the shipping document that accompanies the dangerous goods includes the following information legibly and indelibly printed:

"Equivalency Certificate No. SA 6298 (Ren. 8)"

Note: The issuance of this Equivalency Certificate in no way reduces the certificate holder's responsibility to comply with any other requirements of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Air, the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, and the Canadian Aviation Regulationsnot specifically addressed in this certificate.
