CONDITIONS

This Equivalency Certificate authorizes Procter and Gamble Inc., to handle, offer for transport or transport, and authorizes any person, on behalf of the certificate holder, to handle, offer for transport or transport, by road or railway vehicle, dangerous goods in a manner that does not comply with Part 3 (Documentation), Part 4 (Dangerous Goods Safety Marks), Part 5 (Means of Containment), Part 6 (Training), Part 7 (Emergency Response Assistance Plan), and Part 8 (Reporting Requirements)of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, if:

(a) the dangerous goods are handled, offered for transport or transported in accordance with the requirements of section 1.17 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations except for paragraphs 1.17(1)(b) and 1.17(3)(a);

(b) the dangerous goods in the inner means of containment:

(i) if solids, have a mass less than or equal to the number shown in column 6(a) of Schedule 1 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, when that number is expressed in kilograms;

(ii) if liquids, have a volume less than or equal to the number shown in column 6(a) of Schedule 1 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, when that number is expressed in litres; or

(iii) if gases, including a gas in a liquefied form, are contained in one or more means of containment each of which has a capacity less than or equal to the number shown in column 6(a) of Schedule 1 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, when that number is expressed in litres;

(c) the dangerous goods are manufactured by Procter and Gamble Inc. and are intended for retail sale;

(d) inner means of containment are packed into trays that secure individual containers from shifting inside the completed combination package during transportation;

(e) tray(s) are placed into a fiberboard box, and the fiberboard box are banded and secured to a pallet by metal, fabric, or plastic straps to form a single palletized unit;

(f) the maximum net quantity of dangerous goods permitted in one palletized unit is 550 kg;

(g) the palletized unit is not opened during transport; and

(h) the Equivalency Certificate number "SU 12378" is visibly and legibly displayed on the palletized unit and it must be at least 65 mm high.

Note: The issuance of this Equivalency Certificate in no way reduces the certificate holder's responsibility to comply with any other requirements of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Air, the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, and the Canadian Aviation Regulationsnot specifically addressed in this certificate.

Explanatory Note

This Equivalency Certificate authorizes the certificate holder to handle, offer for transport or transport, limited quantities of dangerous goods, in a manner that does not comply with Part 3 (Documentation), Part 4 (Dangerous Goods Safety Marks), Part 5 (Means of Containment), Part 6 (Training), Part 7 (Emergency Response Assistance Plan), and Part 8 (Reporting Requirements) of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations.

The dangerous goods are transported as limited quantities and are contained in an outer means of containment best described as a "Display Pack" designed to be the actual display unit used at a retail location.

A "Display Pack" means a package intended to be placed at retail locations which provide direct customer access to consumer commodities contained within the package when all or part of the outer fiberboard packaging is removed.
