CONDITIONS

This Equivalency Certificate authorizes Produits Chimiques G.H. Ltée to handle, offer for transport or transport, and authorizes any person to handle or transport on behalf of the certificate holder, solely on land by road or railway vehicle, dangerous goods that are UN3077, ENVIRONMENTALLY HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE, SOLID, N.O.S. (zinc oxide), Class 9, Packing Group III, in a manner that does not comply with subsection 5.1(1), and subparagraphs 5.14(1)(a)(i) and 5.14(1)(b)(i) of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, if:

(a) the dangerous goods are handled, offered for transport or transported in non-specification flexible intermediate bulk containers;

(b) the flexible intermediate bulk containers are in compliance with standard ISO 21898 "Packaging -- Flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBCs) for non-dangerous goods" and have a safe working load ratio of 5 to 1 for each of the given loads;

(c) in addition to the requirements of Part 6 (Training) of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, the certificate holder ensures that the personnel handling, offering for transport or transporting the dangerous goods is trained in regards to the conditions of this Equivalency Certificate; and

(d) the document that accompanies the dangerous goods includes the following information legibly and indelibly printed:

"Equivalency Certificate No. SU 12372"

Note: The issuance of this Equivalency Certificate in no way reduces the certificate holder's responsibility to comply with any other requirements of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Air, the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, and the Canadian Aviation Regulationsnot specifically addressed in this certificate.

Explanatory Note

This Equivalency Certificate authorizes the certificate holder to transport dangerous goods that are UN3077, ENVIRONMENTALLY HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE, SOLID, N.O.S. (zinc oxide), Class 9, Packing Group III, in non-specification flexible intermediate bulk containers. This Equivalency Certificate offers a transition period to use the rest of their non-specification flexible intermediate bulk containers and to order new means of containment which comply with Part 5 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations.

This Equivalency Certificate will not be renewed after its expiry date of August 31, 2017.
