CONDITIONS

This Equivalency Certificate authorizes Air Ocean Logistiks Inc. to handle, offer for transport or transport and authorizes any person to handle or transport on behalf of the certificate holder, by cargo aircraft, dangerous goods that are UN3480, LITHIUM ION BATTERIES, Class 9, in accordance with Special Provision A99 of the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air as incorporated by reference in section 12.1 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, under the following conditions:

(a) the dangerous goods are described as 150MN00071A99-A Formula E - SO3 lithium ion batteries;

(b) each cell and battery have been determined to meet the criteria for assignment to Class 9 on the basis of tests carried out in accordance with the Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods - Manual of Tests and Criteria, Part III, subsection 38.3;

(c) the dangerous goods are packaged as per Packing Instruction 965 of the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air, except that the packaging shall be as described in the document VCADG A0050 issued by the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA), United Kingdom, submitted by the applicant and kept on file with the Chief, Approvals and Special Regulatory Projects, Transport of Dangerous Goods Directorate, Transport Canada. The large packaging used is a UN 50B aluminum box;

CONDITIONS

(d) the battery or battery assembly has a gross mass exceeding 35 kg;

(e) the certificate holder ensures that the personnel handling, offering for transport or transporting the dangerous goods is trained in regards to the conditions of this Equivalency Certificate;

(f) a paper or electronic copy of this Equivalency Certificate and the document VCADG A0050 accompany the dangerous goods;

(g) the shipping document that accompanies the dangerous goods includes the following information legibly and indelibly printed:

"Equivalency Certificate No. SA 11851"

Note: The issuance of this Equivalency Certificate in no way reduces the certificate holder's responsibility to comply with any other requirements of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Air, the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, and the Canadian Aviation Regulationsnot specifically addressed in this certificate.
