CONDITIONS

This Equivalency Certificate further authorizes Marks Calibration Services Inc., to handle, offer for transport or transport, and authorizes any person to handle or transport on behalf of the certificate holder, by road or railway vehicle, or by ship on a domestic voyage, dangerous goods that are UN1075, LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GASES, Class 2.1, in means of containment that do not comply with Part 5 (Means of Containment) of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, if:

(a) the means of containment:

(i) is a large means of containment, as defined in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, which has a capacity of 500 L,

(ii) is a volume measurement and calibration device referred to as "provers", mounted on a highway vehicle for transport to and from worksites for testing of meter equipment accuracy,

(iii) is not intended for the transportation of dangerous goods and the presence of dangerous goods is due only to the use of the means of containment for the processing, storage, or use of the dangerous goods at fixed locations,

CONDITIONS

(iv) prior to moving, is emptied to the maximum extent possible, and the residual amount of the dangerous goods never exceeds 25 kg;

(b) the means of containment is loaded and secured on the means of transport in such a way as to prevent, under normal conditions of transport, damage to the means of containment or to the means of transport that could lead to an accidental release of the dangerous goods;

(c) when the device is transported by rail, it is loaded and properly secured to a railway vehicle with all necessary blocks, chains and binders in accordance with applicable AAA loading and securement practices;

(d) in addition to the requirements of Part 6 (Training) of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, the certificate holder ensures that the personnel handling, offering for transport or transporting the dangerous goods is trained in regards to the conditions of this Equivalency Certificate;

(e) the shipping document that accompanies the dangerous goods includes the following information legibly and indelibly printed:

"Equivalency Certificate No. SU 11562 (Ren. 1)"

Note: The issuance of this Equivalency Certificate in no way reduces the certificate holder's responsibility to comply with any other requirements of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Air, the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, and the Canadian Aviation Regulationsnot specifically addressed in this certificate.

Explanatory Note

This Equivalency Certificate authorizes the applicant to transport means of containment that do not comply with the requirements set out in Part 5 (Means of Containment) of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations. The means of containment may contain residual amounts of dangerous goods due to storage, processing or use of dangerous goods at fixed locations. The means of containment must be emptied to the maximum extent possible prior to being transported.
