1. This Equivalency Certificate authorizes Raytheon Canada Limited to handle, offer for transport or transport, and authorizes any person to handle or transport on behalf of the certificate holder, by road or railway vehicle, or by ship on a domestic voyage, dangerous goods that are UN2794, BATTERIES, WET, FILLED WITH ACID, electric storage, Class 8, or UN2795, BATTERIES, WET, FILLED WITH ALKALI, electric storage, Class 8, in a manner that does not comply with sections 4.15 and 4.15.3, subsection 5.1(1), and section 5.14 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, under the following conditions:

(a) the dangerous goods are handled, offered for transport or transported in compliance with Packing Instruction 801 of Transport Canada Standard TP14850E "Small Containers for Transport of Dangerous Goods, Classes 3, 4, 5, 6.1, 8, and 9, a Transport Canada Standard", 2nd Edition, October 2010;

(b) the rigid container, wooden slatted crate or pallet with a capacity exceeding 450 L has displayed on two opposite sides the safety marks required by sections 4.10, 4.11, and 4.12 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations;

CONDITIONS

(c) the road or railway vehicle used to transport the dangerous goods has safety marks displayed on it in accordance with Part 4 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations;

(d) in addition to the requirements of Part 6 (Training) of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, the certificate holder ensures that the personnel handling, offering for transport or transporting the dangerous goods is trained in regards to the conditions of this Equivalency Certificate;

(e) the document that accompanies the dangerous goods includes the following information legibly and indelibly printed:

"Equivalency Certificate No. SU 11495 (Ren. 1)"

2. This Equivalency Certificate authorizes Raytheon Canada Limited to handle, offer for transport or transport, and authorizes any person to handle or transport on behalf of the certificate holder, by road vehicle, dangerous goods that are UN2794, BATTERIES, WET, FILLED WITH ACID, electric storage, Class 8, or UN2795, BATTERIES, WET, FILLED WITH ALKALI, electric storage, Class 8, in a manner that does not comply with subsection 5.1(1) and section 5.14 of theTransportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, under the following conditions:

(a) the dangerous goods may be transported on shelves, which are permanently fixed and secured to the means of transport;

(b) the dangerous goods are loaded and secured on the shelves as to prevent damage, short circuits and inadvertent movement so that under normal conditions of transport, including handling, there will be no accidental release of the dangerous goods that could endanger public safety;

(c) the battery terminals must not support the weight of other superimposed elements;

(d) the road vehicle used to transport the dangerous goods has safety marks displayed on it in accordance with Part 4 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations;

(e) in addition to the requirements of Part 6 (Training) of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, the certificate holder ensures that the personnel handling, offering for transport or transporting the dangerous goods is trained in regards to the conditions of this Equivalency Certificate;

(f) the document that accompanies the dangerous goods includes the following information legibly and indelibly printed:

3. This Equivalency Certificate authorizes Raytheon Canada Limited, to handle, offer for transport or transport, by aircraft, dangerous goods that are UN2794, BATTERIES, WET, FILLED WITH ACID, electric storage, Class 8, Packing Group III, UN2795, BATTERIES, WET, FILLED WITH ALKALI, electric storage, Class 8, Packing Group III, or UN2800, BATTERIES, WET, NON-SPILLABLE, electric storage, Class 8, Packing Group III, in a manner that does not comply with subsection 12.1(2) of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, under the following conditions:

(a) the dangerous goods are transported in compliance with section 12.9 -Limited Access except for subparagraph 12.9(11)(a)(ii) of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations;

(b) the dangerous goods are loaded aboard the aircraft at the last aerodrome of departure utilized by the air operator to access the limited access area and no stops are permitted at any other aerodrome except for emergency reasons or re-fuelling;

(c) the dangerous goods:

(i) are placed in an acid/alkali-proof liner of sufficient strength and adequately sealed to positively preclude leakage in the event of spillage,

(ii) are contained in a means of containment that is a rigid container, wooden slatted crate or on a pallet, which is designed, constructed, filled, closed, secured, and maintained so that under normal conditions of transport, including handling, there will be no accidental release of the dangerous goods that could endanger public safety,

(iii)are packed so that the fill openings and vents, if any, are upward,

(iv)are protected against short circuit;

CONDITIONS

Air

(d) the air operator ensures that the personnel handling and transporting the dangerous goods is trained in regards to the conditions of this certificate and a paper or electronic copy of the Equivalency Certificate accompanies the dangerous goods.

Note: The issuance of this Equivalency Certificate in no way reduces the certificate holder's responsibility to comply with any other requirements of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Air, the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, and the Canadian Aviation Regulationsnot specifically addressed in this certificate.

Explanatory Note

Parts 1 of this Equivalency Certificate authorizes the certificate holder to transport dangerous goods that are UN2794, BATTERIES, WET, FILLED WITH ACID, electric storage, Class 8, or UN2795, BATTERIES, WET, FILLED WITH ALKALI, electric storage, Class 8, in a rigid container, a wooden slatted crate or on a pallet with a capacity exceeding 450 L.

Part 2 of this Equivalency Certificate authorizes the certificate holder to transport these dangerous goods on shelves, which are permanently fixed and secured to the means of transport.

Part 3 of this Equivalency Certificate authorizes the certificate holder to handle, offer for transport or transportdangerous goods in compliance with section 12.9 - Limited Access of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations.
