CONDITIONS

This Equivalency Certificate authorizes the Centre québécois de formation aéronautique to handle, offer for transport or transport, by aircraft, dangerous goods in a manner that does not comply with subsection 12.1(2) of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, under the following conditions:

(a) the flying training unit complies with the requirements of Part IV - Personnel Licensing and Training of the Canadian Aviation Regulations;

(b) the dangerous goods transported are necessary for the training and safety of the crew members and student pilots of the Centre québécois de formation aéronautique of the Collège d'enseignement général et professionnel of Chicoutimi, QC;

(c) the dangerous goods are transported aboard the aircraft or by external load in compliance with section 12.12 - Aerial Work, except for subsection 12.12(1) of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations;

(d) the dangerous goods are not forbidden for air transport as per Table 3-1 of Chapter 2 of Part 3 of the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air;

CONDITIONS

(e) the dangerous goods are transported on board the aircraft in compliance with section 12.9 - Limited Access, except for subparagraph 12.9(1)(c)(i) of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations;

(f) the dangerous goods are transported during dual control flights, with one instructor and one or two student pilots only;

(g) the air operator ensures that the personnel handling and transporting the dangerous goods is trained in regards to the conditions of this certificate and a paper or electronic copy of this Equivalency Certificate accompanies the dangerous goods.

Note: The issuance of this Equivalency Certificate in no way reduces the certificate holder's responsibility to comply with any other requirements of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Air, the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, and the Canadian Aviation Regulationsnot specifically addressed in this certificate.
