CONDITIONS

This Equivalency Certificate authorizes Cameco Corporation to handle, offer for transport or transport, and authorizes any person to handle, offer for transport or transport on behalf of the certificate holder, by road vehicle, dangerous goods that are UN2912, RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL, LOW SPECIFIC ACTIVITY (LSA-I) non-fissile or fissile excepted, Class 7, in a manner that does not comply with sections 4.15, 4.15.2, and 4.15.3 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, under the following conditions:

(a) the dangerous goods are contained in a means of containment of type IP-1 as referenced in the Packaging and Transport of Nuclear Substances Regulations published by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission and are contained in a means of containment of a total capacity of 3.2 m3;

(b) the IP-1 means of containment is marked in accordance with paragraph 28(2)(c) of the Packaging and Transport of Nuclear Substances Regulations, 2015;

(c) the road vehicle used to transport the IP-1 means of containment has placards and UN numbers displayed on it in accordance with Part 4 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations; and

(d) the shipping document that accompanies the dangerous goods includes the following information legibly and indelibly printed:

"Equivalency Certificate No. SH 10604 (Ren. 3)"

Note: The issuance of this Equivalency Certificate in no way reduces the certificate holder's responsibility to comply with any other requirements of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Air, the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, and the Canadian Aviation Regulationsnot specifically addressed in this certificate.

Explanatory Note

This Equivalency Certificate exempts the certificate holder from displaying the dangerous safety marks on the IP-1 means of containment containing UN2912, RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL, LOW SPECIFIC ACTIVITY (LSA-I) non-fissile or fissile excepted, Class 7, if the dangerous safety marks are displayed on the means of transport.
