CONDITIONS

This Equivalency Certificate authorizes Artemis Technologies Inc., to handle, offer for transport or transport, and authorizes any person to handle or transport on behalf of the certificate holder, by road vehicle, dangerous goods that are UN3373, BIOLOGICAL SUBSTANCES, CATEGORY B, Class 6.2, in a manner that does not comply with Part 5 (Means of Containment) of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations if:

(a) the means of containment is designed, constructed, filled, closed, secured, and maintained so that under normal conditions of transport, including handling, there will be no release of the dangerous goods that could endanger public safety;

(b) the dangerous goods are contained in triple packaging systems:

(i) with inner packagings that are flexible bioprocess containers made of a multi-layered laminated plastic film designated as the Platinum UltraPAK and manufactured by Lonza Walkersville Inc.,

(ii) each inner packaging contains a maximum of 110 L of vaccine solution,

CONDITIONS

(iii)the ports and closures of the inner packagings are securely closed and stowed,

(iv)each inner packaging is placed in a plastic film liner having a nominal thickness equal to or greater than 0,1 mm (4 mil) that is closed to be leakproof,

(v) each inner packaging in its liner is placed in an outer packaging that is a UN standardized removable head plastic drum (1H2) that is:

a. rated for dangerous goods included in Packing Group I or II (marked X or Y),

b. rated for a maximum gross mass equal to or greater than 150 kg,

c. equipped with a plastic foam pad on its internal bottom, and

d. closed to be leakproof;

(c) the drums containing the dangerous goods are secured to pallets for transport;

(d) the drums on pallets may be transported with mix loads of hard goods that are not food, drugs or other vaccines. However, when transported as mix loads, the drums must be located at the nose of the refrigerated truck or trailer with a barrier separating them from the rest of the load; and

CONDITIONS

(e) the shipping document that accompanies the dangerous goods includes the following information legibly and indelibly printed:

"Equivalency Certificate No. SH 10051 (Ren. 4)"

Note: The issuance of this Equivalency Certificate in no way reduces the certificate holder's responsibility to comply with any other requirements of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Air, the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, and the Canadian Aviation Regulationsnot specifically addressed in this certificate.

Explanatory Note

This Equivalency Certificate authorizes the applicant to transport dangerous goods that are Rabies vaccine, live adenovirus vector, from the production site to the animal bait-manufacturing site. The dangerous goods, classified as UN3373, BIOLOGICAL SUBSTANCE, CATEGORY B, Class 6.2, are transported in a manner that does not comply and Part 5 (Means of Containment) of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations.
