Dynamic Roadway Warning
Description
This service package supports the dynamic presentation of warning information to drivers. Warnings may be generated in response to roadway weather conditions, road surface conditions, traffic conditions, obstacles or animals in the roadway, and any other transient events that can be sensed. Warnings may also be generated that recognise the limitations of a given vehicle for the geometry of the roadway, e.g. rollover risk for tall vehicles. This service package differs from “Traffic Information Dissemination” in that it is possible for all processing to occur remotely at the roadside, making this capability autonomous for remote application. It also expands the capabilities of Traffic Information Dissemination by focusing on non-traffic roadway issues.Includes Equipment Packages and Subsystems
